Absolutely any song can sound amazing on the violin! Some songs have a natural melodic line that is easily recognizable on solo violin. Other songs would benefit from beats and background music to make it more recognizable. I can even improvise a violin melody over the original song! I offer free music consultations with every performance to review your song requests and make sure my performance of your favorite songs aligns with your vision.

Electric and Classical violins can sound very similar to each other, and I love playing both types! There are 3 main differences between electric violin and classical/acoustic violin to consider:

Amplification: The acoustic violin can be used unplugged, so it is perfect if you are looking for the most minimalistic and portable option. But this also means that for larger events, you would not be able to turn up the volume. I always recommend the electric violin for larger events or events where there will be a lot of ambient noise.

Looks: If you are going for a traditional look, the classical violin is perfect. If you are looking for something new and exciting, choose the electric violin! In almost every electric violin performance, a guest will approach me and say, “I have never seen a violin like that before!”

Backing Tracks: Electric Violin performances include background instrumental tracks that can enhance the performance. For example, I use everything from a piano track to give modern songs a “Bridgerton Vibe”, to full instrumentals and beats to set the stage for an upbeat Hip Hop violin feel, and even sometimes use the original song recording and add a live violin line for a one-woman DJ+Violinist show! Backing tracks do require a bit of coordination during ceremonies, etc. (I will need a few seconds between each song to switch to the next track).

The violin that I play the most is the electric violin. I love the unique looks of different electric violins, and the control over the volume and backing tracks. But I also love the classical violin and viola! And I am happy to help you determine which type of violin music would be best for your wedding or event.

My DJ services include sound equipment for my own instrumental performance, and playing music from a playlist to DJ a ceremony or provide background music while I am not performing.

I have a 4-step booking process:

1. Consultation. First, we schedule a free consultation to create the music package that best fits your event. I can offer this via phone, e-mail, or text. You do not have to know every song that you will want in order to get started. We just need to ensure my availability and have an idea of what your vision is for my musical performance.

Contract. Next, you will receive an e-mail with an electronic contract and payment portal so that you can make a 50% deposit whenever you are ready to lock me in. Once you send the deposit, I will sign the contract and send it back to you! The second payment will be automatically withdrawn from your original payment method, 3 days before your wedding or event, so you can “set it and forget it!” (You will receive an e-mail when your payment is due so the withdrawal will not come as a surprise.)

Coordination. Within a few days, I will send over a questionnaire asking for your preferences on all of the details - song choices, attire, contact person (planner, coordinator, etc), and any other notes you may have for me. If you need my personal recommendations of song choices or any other details, I am just a phone call away and happy to help! The ideal time to send the completed questionnaire back to me is at least a month before your wedding or event.

Celebration. Lastly, I will meet your chosen contact person on site before the event begins, set up, and deliver your customized performance!

Pricing depends on location, date, and the length of the performance.

I have a song list of over 1000 songs in many genres and cultural styles, and I love learning new song requests too! Please keep in mind that I only play music with family-friendly lyrics and messages. Feel free to check with me if you have a particular song in mind!

These instrumentals are called backing tracks, and I use them for most performances. There are wonderful options when choosing types of backing tracks: piano backing tracks, guitar backing tracks, full instrumental tracks, or even the original songs! I find and prepare these tracks in advance of your event and also review the options with you and make recommendations based on your particular event style. Piano tracks give a classical “Bridgerton” vibe. Full instrumentals increase the energy, and the original songs with violin over top might be the most high-energy option!

Absolutely. Whether you are looking for a very soft ambiance or a show-stopping performance for hundreds of guests, my sound equipment is fully controllable and can even connect to in-house or larger setups for very large events!

Yes! I have a high-quality wireless system that allows me to move around while playing when given the space to do so!

I always come prepared with battery-powered options for my electric violin and speaker! But if your venue does have electricity, I would love to be stationed next to an outlet if possible!

I need to be in a comfortable environment that is shaded in the hot months and above 50 degrees during the cold seasons.

I also need to know what the event’s rain plan is so I can assure that my instruments and equipment will not get wet.

For wedding ceremonies, I would like a chair so I can sit during the officiated portion.

Lastly, I will need to know who to meet with when I arrive on site.

For events during mealtimes, a vendor meal is always appreciated if possible!

You can absolutely make requests for me to use a specific violin! I do not guarantee that I will use that specific one because sometimes for logistical reasons I may need to choose a different one, but I am usually able to honor your request!
